“Planning is bringing the future into the present so you can do something about it now.” - Alan Lakein
Born and raised in La Porte, Indiana, Jim began serving in financial services as a financial advisor in Mishawaka, Indiana in 2006. In 2009 he partnered with Je Umbaugh to create a unique Family Office Concept that brings his clients the convenience and confidence of knowing that all their business and personal tax, financial, payroll and bookkeeping needs can be met from one central operation. Jim has previously served on the Edison Lakes Rotary board of directors, St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and as chapter president of BNI in Goshen. As a financial advisor with Kuhn Dillon Umbaugh, one of Jim’s specialties is helping clients identify their own perspective of what retirement means to them. He is passionate about educating clients and breaking down financial lingo and concepts into everyday language that people can understand and remember.
Jim, along with wife Diane and son Matthew, reside in Plymouth. Jim enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hiking, and working in his back yard and around the house. He enjoys exercising to stay in-shape and burn off stress, and is a life-long, die hard Chicago Cubs fan.
